There is a question that has been ringing in my heart for some time; I must have heard someone asked: Can God be trusted?
I dare not answer according to my feelings or emotions at the moment; no, these cannot be trusted. My answer is not of that person that has already gotten all that God promised her. I can only answer with the truth as it is in the word of God echoing from genesis to revelation.
- His faithfulness reaches to the clouds :Ps 108:4
- By 2 immutable things by which it is impossible for God to lie… his Promise and Oath: Heb 6:18
- Surely there is an end, and your expectation shall not be cutoff: Prov 23:18….and lots more
Like I said earlier, I am not talking as someone that has already received all she prayed for, but as someone that has found that no matter what happens in life, God is and will forever remain faithful.
You have to settle it in your heart like Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego that:
Our God is able to deliver us from this furnace. But even if he will not (‘WILL’ is the key word here not ‘CANNOT’) we will still not bow down to your god.
Did God deliver or not?
The answer is obvious. I am yet to see a man depend on God so much and yet put to shame.
The time is now and now is, when those that must come to God must first believe that he is and he rewards those that diligently seek him.
Some things must be settled in our hearts whether we see the evidence or not, for we are those that work by faith and not by sight. We believe first, and then we see. The fact that we cannot see doesn’t mean it doesn’t exit.
The scripture said ‘by this we know that the things that are seen are created from the things that are not seen’. We serve a God that called those things that are not as if they were. Did he not create the whole world by just calling them into being?
Unlike most men, His word can be trusted… has he not exalted his word above all the honors of his name…Ps 138:2. Is he man that he should lie? or the son of man that he should repent? Num 23:19
I particular like this scripture:..Jer 23:28-29
“The prophet who has a dream may relate his dream, but let him who has My word speak My word in truth. What does straw have in common with grain?” declares the LORD.”Is not My word like fire?” declares the LORD, “and like a hammer which shatters a rock?
Keep speaking his word, it becomes like a fire when faced with burnables and it becomes like a hammer when faced with rocks and mountains.
His word is active and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword…Seeing that the word itself is living and not dead. the word is God himself (john 1) how can you not trust it? let all men be liar but God be true.
Beloved, let the truth settle in your mind. Our God is faithful and able to save to the uttermost those who put their trust in him. he will never deny himself even when we are faithless.
I have lot more to write but i’ll just hang my pen here by saying:
keep believing, he’s never failed anyone yet… He won’t start with you.
He can be trusted!
