God always look for any opportunity to bless us.
Jehovah overdo… He does exceedingly abundantly… It is nothing in comparison to any effort we put in… When God tells you to ask for a blessing, it’s ‘cos he just needs an excuse to overdo it… He likes to show himself on behalf of his children.
I was going through this passage…
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Lift your hand toward the sky, and cause the hail to fall throughout Egypt, on the people, the animals, and the crops.”
So Moses lifted his staff toward the sky, and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and lightning struck the earth. The LORD sent a tremendous hailstorm against all the land of Egypt.
Never in all the history of Egypt had there been a storm like that, with such severe hail and continuous lightning.
It left all of Egypt in ruins. Everything left in the fields was destroyed — people, animals, and crops alike. Even all the trees were destroyed.
The only spot in all Egypt without hail that day was the land of Goshen, where the people of Israel lived.
Then I said to myself…See!…God was showing off…he just needed an excuse to show forth his power in Egypt on behalf of the Israelites … And all Moses did was raise his hand…see the storm that resulted, #hehe…. no correlation at all….
When God tells a man to pray… He usually do much more than they ask…all he needs is someone to give him an excuse to show-off his strength and power.
2 Chronicles 16:9
“For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.
He has so much in store for us… He wants to show us off…and also show off through us….
Your goodness is so great! You have stored up great blessings for those who honor you. You have done so much for those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world.
The earnest expectation of the creation is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God …the whole creation is waiting to see what God will do next through his sons…even angels long to look at these things.
It may seems like it’s taking a while for him to show up, but when he does show up, he shows up big… He loves to make a grand entrance!
When God is up to something, that something is usually huge…
We can live our lives expectant each day, knowing that God has great things in store for us.
As long as we are called according to his purpose, God is working all things for our good….it’s so exciting just thinking about it.
It’s a new month yet again… Let’s erase the failures of the past, and run with enthusiasm the race that is set before us…this time, add expectation to your feelings and it will be a great year for us.
Happy new month!
