Just keep at it, don’t be discouraged

Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose].
1Cor 15: 58 (AMP)

Just keep doing one good at a time; whether or not it will make an eternal impact, you do not know. The truth is we may never get to know the impact our lives will make on people and generations to come, yet we should not relent in our service to God because fulfilling His purpose is what we are created for Eph 2:10

We all celebrate Apostle Paul today, but trust me, he had no idea the impact his writings will be making on generations that came after him. He probably thought he was just writing letters to churches but the letters are powerful insights and revelation for us today. Imagine our generation without the revelations God gave Paul (unimaginable), yet he never got to know what impact he made… (Maybe he understands better now that he is on the other side of eternity).

Don’t be envious of people who are being celebrated while they are still alive, yours might not be the same. There are lots of people who weren’t celebrated during their lifetime, but their lives and messages are still speaking volumes till today. By the way, not all the works celebrated in their lifetime have eternal value, so do not be deceived. We really cannot and should not judge anybody’s work, only the ‘Day’ will reveal.

Kenneth Hagins sure had no idea how many lives his books will touch, but he wrote them nonetheless, today if you are a believer and you have not read any of his books, ahh ….ok oh!!!!!! You need to be born again ‘again’ #lol #wink

Don’t be discouraged if you are preaching and no one seems to notice, keep writing books, continue to blog even when no one is reading, it may be for a generation to come. Keep doing the good works; don’t stop because you can’t see results now. Whether we are dead or alive, we belong to God, so I believe God is the one that should determine how and when he wants to use what he has inspired us to do; he is the only one that can decide what audience he has prepared us for.

Prophet Isaiah, Micah, Jeremiah and many other old testament Prophets never saw their prophecies come to pass, but we can look back and appreciate them for giving us so many insights into the person of Christ many years before he was born.

Though they didn’t understand what God was telling them to say, they kept at it. The scriptures say (I Peter 1: 10-12) they made careful search and investigation to find out when what they were saying will be; but God revealed to them that their work was not for their own benefit, but for us who came many years after.

Therefore I say to you, don’t be too result conscious, but pursue obedience; results are gifts from God. Choose to be obedient to whatever God tells you to do; if you see results, it’s to the Glory of God. If you don’t see the result, don’t be discouraged. Some plant and some water, it is only God that gives increase but we will all receive our rewards according to what and how we obeyed instructions not according to the results we see or get.

Be careful of falling into the error of thinking the number of ‘likes’ on social media equals to fulfilling ‘purpose’. Don’t get carried away by the number of followers, they didn’t give you your assignment so they won’t be the one to score you. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. 2cor 5:10.

Gal 6: 9
Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest,
If we do not give up
