Blessings are labelled!

I try to learn spiritual truths from everyday occurrence. When things happen to me, I want to know what spiritual truths I can learn and hold on to.

Just the other day, we wanted to buy something, the price was quite good and we thought we’ve settled the deal but we got to the place to pick it up and the seller decided to sell to someone else who came after us. Though I was hurt, it was just for a little time… I turned to God and said, ‘that wasn’t for us. You didn’t give us that’s why we didn’t get it, please send our own’… Before the end of the day, our agent called us and told us another one just arrived that evening…and to cut the long story short, we got that! It was way cheaper and beautiful, almost at a giveaway unbelievable price. Then I said ….this is ours! Glory!

There are some scriptures that have always guided my heart in this regard. They have given me a confidence over the years which helps me not to be anxious especially when it comes to having material things. Careful meditations on these scriptures have guided my life and define what I believe and what I crave for.

John 3:27
John answered and said, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven.

1 Corinthians 4:7
For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?

Psalms 44:3
They did not conquer the land with their swords; it was not their own strength that gave them victory. It was by your mighty power that they succeeded; it was because you favored them and smiled on them.(NLT)

Blessings are spiritual and they are commanded, in fact, they are labeled with name tags on them. No one gets anything by their strength… No matter how much effort you put to get a thing, if it wasn’t given to you from heaven then you can’t get it.

Samuel couldn’t anoint any other person just because David wasn’t around in the house… He had to wait for him to come… Know of a certainty that what belongs to you knows your house address… it’s not even by being at the right place at the right time like many would say. How do you determine which place is right? You don’t even know the right place to be, just believe that wherever you are is the right place. Even if you are in a place that is not on the map, your blessing knows how to locate you.

Luke 4:25-27

Certainly there were many needy widows in Israel in Elijah’s time, when the heavens were closed for three and a half years, and a severe famine devastated the land. Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them. He was sent instead to a foreigner—a widow of Zarephath in the land of Sidon. And many in Israel had leprosy in the time of the prophet Elisha, but the only one healed was Naaman, a Syrian.

The ways you get heaven to release the blessings may differ, you may have negotiated with the devil to get heaven to release some things (then it is no longer a blessing) but this is one thing I know, God is the Judge of all things. He is the controller of everything that happens under the earth too. He determines what comes to you and what doesn’t; nothing happens without his permission, He presides over everything.

The devil can never give you what God wasn’t planning to give you in the first place. The only difference is time. God says ‘wait and I will make you’. The devil says ‘why wait when you can have it now…just bow down to me’.

Like the prodigal son, he didn’t care to wait for the time of the inheritance. He wanted it immediately, but you will notice here that the father didn’t deny it was his son’s right, even though it wasn’t the right time, yet since it belongs to him, the father had to release it. That’s what the devil can make you do; ask for your inheritance before time and makes it look like he was doing you a favor. It is and has always being yours. God loves you and wouldn’t want the blessing to destroy you, so he says wait…let me make you, let my word build you up then I will give you what I already prepared for you… your inheritance.

Blessings are spiritual….you get it first in the spirit and then it manifest in the physical…

Blessed be God who has blessed us with all spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. This blessings include anything you can think of that is good; material, finances, spouse, job, promotion, favor, help, tangible and non-tangible blessing,

The knowledge of this will also help you not to get angry at anyone that doesn’t help you. As long as you are a child of God… If someone doesn’t help you, know that God did not allow the person to, you don’t have a problem with the person, the question should be ‘God why’? And he tells you, it’s either it’s not time or that person wasn’t part of the plan. Joseph told the butler to remember him when he got to the palace, but God made sure he was forgotten for another 2 full years…cos it wasn’t time.

If blessings are therefore commanded, where is the place of desire, of faith and of prayer?
